This is a recent drawing of Lum from Urusei Yatsura, that lovable and electrifying alien ^^ I've been practicing my figure-CG skills and tried out a new effect for the background.

I was planning to make Lum a part of my pin-up series, but she is already scantily clad! :giggle:

Thanks for the comment ^^ I think you have a point there, the background is a bit bright... I'll see how it looks toned down and then I may update the image. I wanted lightning somewhere in the picture, and I added it after the stars. I keep effects on separate layers 'cause I tend to change my mind a lot ^^;

I made the lightning a bit dimmer and got rid of the smaller stars, I think this makes Lum pop out a bit more. Usually I prefer no background (they tend to cause figure-ground problems for me) :confused: but they do liven up the picture.

I also cleaned up some graininess while I was at it ^^
Now onto another drawing... I learn something new from every coloring project!
